Hi People,
Can someone help me. I am an intern of a logistics company and I wish to know what are the things I need in order to make test scripts for a SAP application.
Basically it's a Human Resource Information System. As in the whole HRIS and I would gladly appreciate if you can provide me or help me in building test scripts for HRIS using SAP.
My Best Regards,
Joenard

Sami, I hope you are not responsible for creating test scripts for your client.
It is a step by step process document for the users to run through the system and ensure everything for that specific business process works correctly and provides the correct outputs.
Any example provided to you would probably not fit your specific client needs.
There are some standard BPP's which you can surf up on SAP web sites

Test Plan: A detail of how the test will proceed, who will do the testing, what will be tested, in how much time the test will take place, and to what quality level the test will be performed
Standard used for this is: IEEE 829-1998, also known as the 829 Standard for Software Test Documentation
Test strategy: The test procedures and test strategy include
1. what test case templates will be used
2. how and what metrics will be reported
3. how peer reviews will be conducted
4. ensuring that all test requirements have been met
hope this helps,
thanks,
CN

Hi,
Test scripts means you test the scenarios in your development or quality client and create steps for this testing, and this test scripts will be used by all the tester doing further testing of the system. It sontaines the actual and expected results comparison,
For example: for standard sales order process you will say,
Step 1. Go to VA01 enter the sales document type XXXX and enter the sales area XXXX / XX / XX, hit enter,
Expected result: Sales order initial screen appeared
Actual result:
Step 2. Enter sold to party: XXXX and ship to party: XXXX, hit enter. Enter material XXX and and quantity/ unit of measure: XX/XX
hit enter,
Expected result: Partners, text from customer master, pricing procedure will be determined automatically
Actual result:
Step 3. Save the sales order
Expected result: Partners, text from customer master, pricing procedure will be determined automatically
Actual result: Sales order # _________ is saved,
Please let me know if this is helpful,
Thanks,
CN

Hi
Test plans or Scripts depends on the Business Scenario e.g. you can use unit test and integration test.

Hi,
Can you please explain us in more detail as to what do you mean by Test Scripts in SD?
Do you mean Ecatts Scripts?
Please clarfiy. Also their cannot be a generic test script for SD as test scripts will depend on Company's Business Process.
Please provide more inputs for other members to help.
Regards,
Madhukar
