Hi Guys,
I am trying to install SAP ERP ECC 6.0. My system configuration is 4GB RAM and 250 GB Hard Disk (whole 250 GB as only one drive C). When I am trying to run the prerequisite check, I am getting the warning -
Condition - Swap Size
Result Code - Condition Not Met
Severity - Medium
Message - For the selected services atleast 20480 MB space are recommended. Current value 4263 MB (Updated 2005-06-24)
I am not sure what does this mean. Do I need to create a separate drive as SWAP? If so how can I do that without formatting the system at this point. If that is not necessary what am I supposed to do? Or else can I just ignore the warning and proceed?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
B

Recommended swap is 3 to 4 times the amount of RAM... so if you use 4Gb or RAM i'll set the swap to 16Gb...
Anyhow just right-click on my computer -> properties -> advanced -> performance options -> Virtual memory -> Change -> You should aim for 16Gb.

Juan,
Mycomputer - properties- advanced - performance - settings - advanced - memory - virtual memory -
custom size - initial size and maximum size
Thats what I need to do right?
I tried 4500MB initial and 20000MB maximum but the error still showing up. DO I need to change both to 20000MB?

B
Hi,
since you are have only 1 drive(i.e. c drive) you cannot set the value more than 4096 MB.

In windows you can assign a max. of 4096 MB of page size per logical drive.
