Manually edit .map & .syn file

Hello,

Is there any way or tool by which I can open .map & .syn file and edit manually?

When change the structure of mode, e.g. add a field, you have to regenerate the xml schema for syndicatoin destination structure.

However, to use the new schema for syndicator mapping, you have to map the fields from the very beginning.

If you load the old map, the change on the schema will not reflect.

Is it correct?

It's just too much repeat work eachtime you change the repository.

Please share your ways to manage this syndication mapping change.

Hi Dale,

This problem is with syndication map i.e. .syn only while Import map allow this modification i.e. you can only map the new field instead of remapping all the fields.

I dont think we can edit these maps externally
