Experts,
Which SR release of ECC 6.0 is compatible with a 32 bit architecture. Is there a way in which ECC 6.0 SR3 (64 bit) can be downgraded to work in a 32 bit architecture?
Thanks in Advance.

Hi
Is there a way in which ECC 6.0 SR3 (64 bit) can be downgraded to work in a 32 bit architecture?
Yes you can on 32bit
check this note:
IDES ERP 6.0 ECC 6.0 SR3 Note 1244548

Hi
As pere Note 1244548 you can still install ECC6 SR3 on 32bit with ABAP engine
The standard procedure to install SAP ECC 6.0 SR3 now supports only 64 bit environments (hardware and operating-system). And with this combination you can install the ABAP-AS and the JAVA-As in one step as a - so called - 'double stack'. The ABAP-AS contains the IDES model company in client 800, the JAVA-AS will contain no IDES specific data. Therefore it is up to you, if you want to install the JAVA-AS in addition. ABAP-AS and JAVA-AS is the default selection from SAPinst. If you do not want or need the JAVA-AS, you have to de-select it.
If your environment offers 'only' 32 bit support, you have to set up your IDES ERP 6.0 ECC 6.0 system not as a normal installation but as a system copy
. And that means, you have to modify your DB-Export-DVDs on disk (see description below). The 'System Copy' option allows - due to a missing IDES JAVA-AS Export - to install only the ABAP-AS, a 'double stack' system is not possible. The standard JAVA AS - if required - has to be installed as a separate instance.

Hi
There is a good solution for your requirement in this note: 1108852
"As of SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SR3 and Business Suite 2005 SR3, SAP only supports
to install dialog instances on 32-bit operating systems. All remaining SAP
system instances (central instance, database instance, central services
instance (SCS), ABAP central services instance (ASCS)) must be installed on
64-bit operating systems."
"If you want to install a non-productive SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SR3 based system
(test systems or development are normally productive systems) on 32-bit,
proceed as follows:
1. Install a SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SR2 (SAP ERP 2005 SR2, SAP CRM 5.0 SR2 SAP
SCM 5.0 SR2, SAP SRM 5.0 SR2) system.
2. Patch this system to SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SR3 (SAP ERP 6.0, SAP CRM 5.0
SR3, SAP SCM 5.0 SR3, SAP SRM 5.0 SR3)."

Wrong Forum. Thread Moved to NW Admin.
Now, as mentioned before SR2 supports 32bit and SR3 was released only for 64bit. The only difference between them is the patch level. So you can install SR2 and patch it after installation.
