Future support of NCo

Since NCo 2.0 can only run on VS 2003 and .NET 1.1, can I assume SAP is dropping support for this .NET connector, at least SAP will not recommend it moving forward?

Thanks.

Hi Robert,

it would be good to get a formal statement from SAP on this;

However, given the lack of any news or progress on NCo since VS2003, and also given the advice of [Juergen Daiberl to use webservices in favor of NCo|;; I guess it's a safe bet to assume that SAP has discontinued the NCo.

Hi Robert,

as follow-up on my earlier response; I found a statement from SAP wrt status of NCo, by Rima Rudnik-Sirich - [SAP ES Explorer vs. SAP Connector for Microsoft .NET|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/14331] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken];. Although it still does not explictly state that NCo is discontinued without support, the phrase that 'ES Explorer is a successor of NCo' is clear enough.

Best regards, William.
