Database Bqackup Failed

Hello Everybody,

When I am going to online Database Backup in SQL 2005 then it give the error message as follows

'The Media family on device R3DUMP0(
.\tape0)' is incorrectly formed. SQL server cannot process this media family'

Please suggest me How to solve the problem

Hi Ganesh

Is it the first time you are running a backup? Did you run the backup succesfully earlier?

If "yes", check the link.

Hi!

This is First time, but the Database file size is only 10 MB.

so please suggest me how to solve the same

Hi,

WHere is the destination of the back-up? from the hardrive or media tape. PLease try to back-up in the harddrive then try to change the media tape then try back-up again.
