Hi all,
We are having 2 shifts / day and 6 days a week.
After planning run for a single line 2 planned orders are generated for a single day based on the capacity.
But sometimes system is throwing odd procurement quantities like 1, 2, for the same resource for every shift ie., planned orders are getting generated for quantities like 1 No and 2 Nos for every shift....
what could be the reason ?

Please check your Max lot size' in product master's lot size tab. See if the quantity maintained there is preventing to get only one planed order to meet the total demand. If your max lot size is 100 and you have a demand of 200, then it will generate 2 planned ords of 100 quantity. So, you have to make max lot size as 200. It would be good if you dont maintain anything as 'max lot size', only maintain 'rounding value'.

This is not clear to me, Heuristic does nt consider capacity..."planned orders are getting generated for quantities like 1 No and 2 Nos for every shift"..this is more confusing.
And if you are using 'Optimizer' then check 'max lot size' in the PPM. Please let me know your findings..

Hi Durai,
Normally, procurement will be based on lot size of the material and
not the shift.
Could you check the lot size that is maintained in the material master
