normal SWCV can be created by a user MDSD swcv will contain SAP shipped mDSD application and it contains distribution packages. mDSD is an application which was available in MI 7.0

Hi ,

There is no difference between these two SWCVs. SWCV or Software Component Version can be seen as container for dataobjects , DMs and distribution packages.

Incase of MDSD SWCV , it contains Mobile Direct Store Delivery(MDSD) application's distribution packages(distribution packages inturn bundles multiple dataobjects).This application uses the block sync scenario of DOE.

This application is shipped by SAP.
