Hi All,
I did ccmsping configuration DEV in Solman system. I installed and registered the ccmsping agent in DEV systems. But when I see in RZ21 it says "Neither instance nor logon groups found System: DEV". Also when I check Availability and Performance Overview in RZ20. The systems are available but the values are not there. For Availibility it shows 0% and CCMSPING/Configuration Error: Communication error when attempting to call CCMSPING; see CCMS_SelfMonitorin The RFC destination for DEV systems are fine and the message server port entry is there in the services file for all the systems in solman.
Please let me know what I am missing here.I need to configure ccmsping for availibility monitoring for all the systems in the landscape.
Best Regards and Thank you in Advance.
Fernand

Hi Thomas,
are you sure that the ccms ping has to be installed in the solman, because all the document didn't mention any ccmsping installation in the solman system.
any document related to that ?
Best Regards
Fernand

Hi Fernand,
Sorry for not answer you before. I'm glad you have solved the problem.
When I tried to install CCMSPING agent, I followed this saptutor https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/elearn?rid=/library/uuid/d547f687-0901-0010-07a9-ce64cc044215
In that saptutor I noticed that the agent was installed at CEN system. Lately in a support message about CCMSPING, I also asked if I have to register the agent at CEN system or at all satellite systems. The answer was:
The CCMSPING agent has to be installed at the CEN system. It is
different then other agents (sapccmsr and sapccm4x) which should be
installed on the satellite system and registered to the CEN.
Just liken Michael Stiel says at the thread you used to solve your problem.
Best regards.
Tomas.
Hi Fernand,
CCMSPING agent must be installed at CEN system. Try to install it at your solman System and check if ti works.
I hope it could help you.
Best regards.
Tomas.
