hi,i finished sap xi installation and configuration.

but there are not any swcv in IR.

I want to import sap swcv. such as: sap basis 6.40 or 7.0.

where is the swcv sap basis 6.4. or 7.0?

and how can i import it step by step?

cause you need to import TPZ file and not from SLD

1. In the main menu, choose Tools ® Transfer from System Landscape Directory ® Import Software Component Version.

The screen Import Software Component Versions displays the software component versions from the SLD.

2. Select one or more software component versions that you want to import. To do so, the corresponding check boxes.

3. Choose Import.

this is not the way to import SAP BASIS component

he has to go with the TPZ file

so it means you didn't finish the installation and configuration yet

as one of the steps is importing SAP BASIS SWCV

on the installation DVD + search for .tpz file

put it in the import IR folder and import from IR

(this is also described in the config guide)
