Partner valid at item level

In sales order-> Item Data-> Partners -- the indicator 'Partner valid at item level' (SD_PARTNER_POSFLAG) is activated automatically.

How is the setting of this indicator determined?

Hi,

Check ur configs in IMG-SD-BF-Partner Determination-Set Up Partner Determination for Sales Document Item

whether you hv maintain necessary partener functions in Partner Functions in Procedure..and chk Partner Functions in Procedure, as well...

Generally this indicator will get activated when u enter a Partner function manually at the itm level...

You got it right! Any manual changes at the item level for partner will set the indicator & it will break the synchronization between header and item level for the partner i.e. if indicator is active for the partner then any changes made at the header level will not be reflected at item level.
