Applying permanent license

Dear All,

Good day.

I have registered for a permanent license because of

hardware change. Prior to that I installed a temporary license since

the system is still under observation.

When i tried installing a permanent license, it confirms that

the license was installed, but i don't see it in the new license list.

And whenever users login, they still get the prompt

"License will expired in <n> days"

Does temporary needs to expire first before applying the permanent?

Or something is wrong with the system.

Please advise.

Hi

Delete all the licenses you have and try to apply it again

Hi,

For installing permanenant SAP license ,logi in to

your <SID>adm and delete the old license by :

saplicense -delete

get your hardware key by

saplicense -get

install the new license by

saplicense -install ...

Hi,

From SMP download the license script. login to ur system with SAP*/PASS password into 000 client. and apply the license.

Apply the license from SAP level only.

What is the version of your system? There have been changes in the license type with newer version..

check Note 94998 - Requesting license keys and deleting systems for detail.

If you are using old license type, delete your temporary license and then login with SAP*/pass and install the new license.
