download data into file in background?

Dear experts,

I need to export some data located in internal table out to my C disk in backgrpund. Function module "Download" and all the relevant ones do not work in batch, and the READ DATASET command only access the SAP server and not my C: disk.

Please help.

USE gui_download.

create a variant for that program with the file name etc.. & assign the program in to background job. it will download the data to the given presentation server file.

Looks complex so am not sure if you would want to try that option

Data transfer is not possible on the PRESENTATION SERVER in BACKGROUP MODE.
