1. difference between Slave Repository, Duplecate Repository, Archiving and unarchiving Repository.

Slave - it is similar to Microsoft briefcase

Duplicate - it is similar to Copy paste a folder

Archiving - Taking a copy of your repository for backup/transport/resue/mail etc. similar to zip file of your repository

Unarchiving - it is similar to unzipping your content before able to open it

2. When we importing data to repository, first we need to upload Main table data or Subtables data?

First always the subtable data. Then main table data. when main table data comes, it will select earlier loaded values of subtable data. However there is possible to add subtable data automatically while importing main table. However better to keep them seperate.

3. Is it required to import all the fields data at a tme.

eg: in a table i have 15 fields, that mean at time we import all 15 fields data?

Can import in any number of steps. however one unnique field has to be common among all loads so system can recognize that its fields of same record. ex employee number has to be common and present in all loads if you are bringing employee fields in 2 or more imports.

4. How Lookup table and lookup field logic is work.

first create a lookup table and attach it to a lookup field in main table. So the lookup table data is visible in main table/record in that lookup field

if you know star schema of BI, its similar kind of attaching.

5. Is it posssible import MSWORD document?

it is possible to import msword document as it is as an object. it is not possible to import inside data to any other fields.

The word document will be attached as it is. its similar to object import in msword.
