Updating Logon data for SICF service

Former Member

Hello,

I don't know whether this is the right question in this forum but we are having one BSP application for which we have Logon data maintained in its SICF service.

When we transported the application (SICF service was included into the request), the logon data was not transported.

When we tried going to change mode and update the logon data it gave error "Changes to Repository or cross-client Customizing are not permitted".

Hence we tried to unlock the configuration through SCC4. Then when we tried in QA system it poped up for the request whcih we definietly don't want.

Is there any way we could avoid the same?

Thanks in advance.

regards

rajeev

You cannot transport it as it uses system specific attributes to save the logon in a "SecureStore" area.

Are you setting this up in SICF? Perhaps it is just your navigation path (trying to switch to change mode for the host?).

Go to your service and enter the logon data tab, then try to change the settings there?

Hi Julius,

Thanks for your reply but i am entering the details on the Logon tab itself. After that while saving it is asking for transport request.

For your question look at Client Role in SCC4 ..also read about the production Client role. Also read the F1 help for Changes and Transports for Client-Specific Objects.

Which release are you on?

If you can start transaction SOAMANAGER in the system, then it is probably what you should have been looking for all this time.

Search for it in the forum and [SAP Help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/b0/787748cf3a4200bb1ba32a62aa8519/frameset.htm]
