Hi Gurus,
I am designing a query for a report, where in I have to apply colour schemes to characteristic values. I am aware this is possible for key figures. I would want to know if I can apply the same for characteristics.

Hi Suhasini,
yes, you can apply this for characteristics. Create a new calculated key figure based on a formula variable. The formula variable define with settings 'Processing by Replacement Path'. In the following screen assign the corresponding characteristic. Then select 'Replace Variable With Attribute Value' and the desired attribute below. Now you can apply an exception reporting on the calculated key figure.

Probably you need to convert your query in a Workbook and then use MS-Excel tool of Conditional Formatting.
