Release Authorization

Dear All,

I want to restrict a user (who has the authorization of CJ20N) from creating a new projectdefinition and Release the Project.

can it be handled through Authorization control?

Hi

You just give the user only display option using Authorization control.

You just give this role for the user to dispaly the project.

SAP_PS_STRUCT_DISPL

If you use the above role it will control the user from Release the WBS and Network.

You can use User status to control, where authorization code assigned.

Relevant authorization objects, of which respective authorization code to be assigned

Hi,

Yes it is possible by authorization, you can remove the create option for the project authorization object for an user.

I would appreciate if you could tell me the procedure to restrict the same.

I am able to restrivt the release of Networks, but how to restrict the release of WBSE??

Hi,

goto SU01, enter the user name >display>roles tab>double click on the role type>it will take you to one more session>goto authorization tab>double click on dispaly authorization icon>it will take you to one more screen> goto menu click on find object C_PROJ_VNR and remove the check for 01 and 02 if required.

you have many other potions in the folder have a look..
