choosing inspection specification and its sequence

Reading at the SAP help portal, there is one section that said:

In the inspection settings of the material master, you can specify that a material can be inspected on the basis of several different inspection specifications. For example, you can set the following indicators simultaneously:
u2022	Inspect according to batch 
u2022	Inspect with material specification 
u2022	Inspect with task list 
u2022	Inspect according to variant configuration
In this case, the system chooses the inspection specifications in the following order:
1.	Specifications from variant configuration or batch determination 
2.	Material specification 
3.	Task list

This is a situation which I tested in the system and it seems contradict to SAP.

 I have one material master and I ticked the checkbox on both of u201CInspect with material specificationu201D, and u201CInspect with task listu201D.

 I have maintained both the inspection plan and material specification in the system on this material and both embedded with different sampling procedure using sampling schema.

During inspection lot creation, the sample size calculation is computed based on the task listu2019s inspection planu2019s sampling procedure, instead of the material specificationu2019s sampling procedure.

However, SAP statement above said the system chooses the inspection specification with material specification come first, then only task list.

Based on my test, the statement no longer valid then?

Yes the sequence is like this only.

In this case, the system chooses the inspection specifications in the following order:

1. Specifications from variant configuration or batch determination

2. Material specification

3. Task list

You have selected both material Specs & Task list also.

Also in cutomization you have selected

QCC0>Quality Insp>lot creation>Inspection type>01

Task list Usage:5

As you know that Material specs are created at client level.

While a Task list is created at plant level.

So when you select both in QM view-->system selects Material Specs then Task list

(check the indicator "Insp with Material Specs" in QA0-->Inspection Specs)

this indicator is ticked & it is getting selected.

Now due to usage 5 task list is also getting selected.
