qm task list- work center

Hi, while creating the task list, thw ork center we mention, is it the production work center? let us say at prod work center X is used to manufacture at operation 10, we need only micrometer to check the dimensions of at that opeartion, do we need to mention micrometer as quality work center? pls brief.

Dear Yadav

The need of putting work center in the task list is to capture the activity costs. If you need to capture the cost incurred in the inspection operation you have to maintain a workcenter ( which has an activity type and the cost center) if there is no such requirment do not maintain any work center

No need to create micro meter as work center.

Create micro meter as PRT material, maintain 009 in task list usage of PRT view.

In task list select operation and click on PRT at header text.

Here click on Material and enetr Micrometer number that u have created. select control key as PRT and save.

U can view this in Inspection plan print out also in t_code QP05.

Hi

As you know the work center is maintained at the operation level of the task list.

First understand the significance of work center.

Generally Work center are related to routing where multiple operations are there & multiple stations of work are there.

In the work center we maintain the Capcity of Man or M/C.Scheduling parameter & costing etc.

These are generally centers where production work takes place.for a perticular station while confirmation of Production order we can calculate the Number of m/c hr & man hs for a perticular job.

But in Quality we do not have such stations in the task list.

We can miantiain this only for information purpose like QREC QFINAL QINPR etc.

where as micrometer etc are the PRTs and can not be work centers

for 01 & 04 type of task list which we create through QP01 even if you are keeping work centers that production it will not affect quality processes.Still I would suggest you create your own work centers for Quality in order to distinguish the task lists.Check t code CA80.

and

for 03 we create Routing here it has to be Production work center.

Hi, there will be no quality work center. inspector is just using micrometer. what is meant by quality work center here? pls mention.
