We need to shutdown all adapters for 2 hours. But the PI7.0 must be up.

Could you help tell how to achieve this?

Thanks a lot!

Kelly,

Go to visual admin and right click on each adapter and say stop or shutdown. I am not infront of system, but you can see it.

But you need to start once again. Make sure you dont run any interfaces in this time, else there will be errors.

Satish:

What is the visual admin sub-node where to shutdown them?

Thanks!

Kelly,

Login into J2ee. Then go to server ---> services --> XI Adapter: RFC. Please open th services node and you should see all the adapters.

Kelly,

This is how you can do:

Q 3: How can the RfcAdapter be started and stopped?

A: The RfcAdapter is implemented as a J2EE Service and thus this service has to be started and stopped. This will affect the whole RfcAdapter and can be done from the J2EE Engines Visual Administrator. When you are connected to the J2EE Engine choose the tab 'Cluster' and open the appropriate server node in the tree. Then open the 'Services' node. There you can see the entry 'SAP XI Adapter: RFC'. When you open the context menu on this entry you can start and stop the service.

This is for RFC adapter. Similarly you see all there only. This is from OSS note: 730870

When you say shutdown adapters do you mean stop all the communication channels from working?...if yes then you can even achieve it through Runtime Workbench (http://<hostname>:JAVAPOrt>/rwb/index.jsp) in one go...check my reply in this thread:

Abhishek.

Hi,

After selection all adapter with multiple select option u have automatic control option to schedule all adapter...i guess this will solve ur problem of manually stopping and starting adapter everyday.

U need to configure tht according to ur need in automatic control option > automatically option of any adapter.

there u will find option to select all adapters to schedule at a time.
