Consolidating BI dialog instance to BI Central instance

Hi All,

One of our BI Production application servers' utilization is low and so the management wants to consolidate this server to BI Central instance. I want to know the consequences that will result from this change. Please let me know what all aspects to consider before removing our BI application server.

OS -- Windows 2003

Database -- MS SQL

BI 7.0

There will not be any major consequences. And they cannot be determined immediately also as it depends on the load on the system. Remove the app servers from the logon groups and try for some days by keeping a close eye on the system and monitoring the performance of the system

If you are satisfied then go with it else check if the tuning can be done.
