Hello,

For SAP liveCache documentation see the SAP note 767598.

The liveCache name <SID> is the name of the database instance.

You can make your own choice of name for a database instance during its installation.

In the liveCache installation guide the is section "Choosing a liveCache System Name"

with the list of restrictions.

The Livecache SID could be the same as your SCM SID .

For example, if you are using SCM One DB server.

If you are not running SCM One DB server, I recommend you to choose the unique liveCache name,

different from SCM <SID>, plus please follow the recommendations from the liveCache installation guide.

Thank you & best regards, Natalia Khlopina

Thanks Natalia,

we have two separate boxes , one for SCM and a Separate Box and DB server for LiveCache. We are planning to have Livecache DB name as similar to SCM SID name , but want to know if there are any challenges in it going forward......

Not Sure what the long term implications of having same SID would be....we kept a different SID.
