length of dropdown

Hello Guru,

I could not figure out how to control the length of dropdown boxes.

Where could this be done. Any idea pls?

The length ... number of entries can be fixed through the properties tab and the length usually adjusts itself based on the maximum length of any entry...

I tried the 2 settings. No effect.

I have a dropdown that is too Long in terms of the dropdown box itself, not the entries that is shown in pulldown list. It occupies too much horizontal space of web page. I need to shrink this width of the dropdown. Other dropdown of other characteristics are shorter than this and I am sure the 2 settings have no effect having tested them.

Any advise?

hi,

to set maximum number of values displayed,

you can edit your web template, and click the dropdown

then in left side click tab 'web item', go to section 'specific' and find property 'maximum of numbers displayed' (default value is 50).

to set the width of dropdown box go to section 'general', property 'width in pixels'.
