Budget issue in interface between PS & PP

We have got the error message no BP604: u201CWBS element XXXX budget exceeded u201C

We are using ECC 5.0 having package level up to 10,

For sales order material, processes through the project system and production planning.

E.g. Material STB having 2 sub assemblies SA1 & SA 2.

In project we using two hierarchy levels of WBS, lower level SA1 & SA2, for header WBS is STB, having budget 2, 00,000 for header & 5, 00,000 each for SA1 & SA2 WBS. Means Total UP showing 12, 00,000 of budget in project.

SA1 BOM is assigned to SA1 WBS & SA2 BOM is assigned to SA2 WBS.

All actual cost for SA1 & SA2 child parts are posted to SA1 & SA2 WBS also

Production order made for SA1 & SA2 , After confirmation of these production orderu2019 s SA1 XFG part is available in SA1 and SA2 XFG part is available in SA2 WBS element.

The valuation of SA1 and SA2 is equal to the expenditure in the SA1 and SA2 WBS element respectively u2013 Rs. 5, 00,000 each.

Now for the production order STB part , SA1 and SA2 are required in the STB WBS element stock at level 1. But when we try to move XFG part from lower level to upper level STB WBS element , the system gives above mention budget error .

If require suggest new process also for above scenario ...sudhir sir I expect answer from you.

Hi,

System is woking is working obsoutely perfect.

u have budget 500000 for SA1 & SA2 and you assigned the budget 200000 to STB.

the one reason is, go to cj30 check total values at STB wbs, if it has totaled up then the values will be 1000000.

incase if it has not totaled up, you are trying to puch the XFG from SA1/SA2 to STB wbs, the valuation is 500000 each, but you have budget 200000 only at STB which will always through an error.

This concept is bottom up budgetting, by the above mentioning thing you can easily find out how the system is behaving:

ex: budget exceeds by 300000/800000 for STB,then in cj30 budget is not totaled up.

budget exceeds by 500000/1000000 for STB then in cj30 the budgets are totaled up.

U r correct sir ,

But client want the same thing to transfer material from lower level to upper level & also control at each level ,

so what process we have mapped is correct or is there another process , as client is BEL.

Hi

This process is correct, but transfer the material up to 200000 value.

If you transfer more then it will not allow, otherwise post some supplement budegt to the STP level and the transfer the material.

You mean the requirement for client BEL?

Baiscally there is an option available, you can create user status for WBS by forbidding the Availability control for 1st level WBS.

this works out good if you always tranfer material others levels to 1st level, there won't be any budget check later you can supplement the budget in 1st level by returning the same in lower level.

this won't sounds good. otherwise do topdown budgetting

STB budget is 200000

SA1budget is 500000

SA2 budget is 500000

The SA1 and SA2 budget is higher then the STB budget, so if you are moving the XFG from SA1 and SA2 the goods value is higher then the STB budget.

This is the reason system is hsowing the error.

Example:

Your XFG value is some 400000, now you are moving this to STB. Since your STB value is 200000, so the budget is exceed here.

Post some supplement budget( CJ36) to STB level.
