slddsuser gets locked frequently

Hi,

We have a central SLD on our ECC Dev system.

Our landscape has ECC 6.0, BW 7.0 and EP 7.0.

The SLDDSUSER keeps on getting locked frequently on ECC dev system.

I have checked tcode SLDAPICUST in all the systems, which has SLDAPIUSER and not SLDDSUSER.

Also I have maintained the password for user SLDDSUSER properly in SLD Data Supplier in Visual Admin in all the systems.

Still the user gets locked frequently.

Please suggest a solution.

Also, try to find out why/when it is getting locked by tcode SUIM

Hi Prem,

To avoid such situations better don't use central user approach.

Use SLDDSUSER_<SID> and SLDAPIUSER_<SID> for each system. So that if any user will be locked then other system will not be impacted. and also you can easily found out where problem lies.

For these separate users, what authorization should I maintain?

Also do I need to maintain the same user in J2EE UME? If yes, whith what authorization?

Also where do I need to make changes with these new users for SLD Data supplier?

make these users as copy of below:

SLDDSUSER_<SID> copy of SLDDSUSER

SLDAPIUSER_<SID> copy of SLDAPIUSER

you have to make changes in SLDAPICUST transaction in ABAP side. And in JCO Destinations if any and in SLD datasupplier in visual admin on Java side.

I am facing the same issue in the SOLMAN landscape where SLDDSUSER and J2EE_ADMIN getting locked frequently , can u pls suggest how to trace the issue to resolve the problem.

Check in Tcode - SUIM of your solution manager to know how they got locked

Thanks for the reply.I could find the user locked due to incorrect logon but not able to find which system and which component locks the user SLDDSUSER frequently.How to trace.

Pls let me know how to trace from where its getting locked .same thing happening for user J2EE_ADMIN.
