Hi SD masters,

I have an error in my IDOC (status 51) and the reason for the erros is ' Enter the document number'. What does this mean sirs?

The changed SO was not assigned a SO number. It was because Sold To cannot be edited.

Which idoc is this, i mean inbound/outbound? Status 51 shows that it is not processed. You can either reprocess it by BD87 or we19.

Enter the document number error may be because for further processing of the document doc number is mandatory and idoc segment may have missed that.

outbound idoc sir. how can i prevent the same error in the future?

If it is the billing document, check the Idoc segment whether it contains the billing doc. number.

you try it in your test system by editing the same in we19 & post it.

Dear,

If its happening for few or some of the iDocs then you dont have to do anything it happens sometime, but its for regular then the program which triggers outbound idoc has to be debug, Please check with your ABAPer for the later case.
