If you are talking about the link "Alert configuration" giving error message, then please go to exchange profile and check the value for com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.ashost under RuntimeWorkbench, make sure you have specified the complete name of your server there(Fully qualified domain name),if it has only host name,it might not work.
Thanks

Hi Praveen,
Along with the above link i provided, at glance the steps require to configure Alert Configuration.
1. Log into Runtime Workbench
2. Enter Alert Configuration
3. At the bottom screen select your alert category
4. Select XI_GENERIC_ALRT alert category from the slect Alert Category section at the bottom of the screen.
5. IN the 'Alert Rule Definition' section, select Reset Input Fields.Select 'Rule Active' and 'Suppress Multiple Alerts of This Rule'. Enter the description of the rule.
6. Enter the conditions that will trigger an alert.
7. Select where the error occurred.
8. Click on add rule.
