Hi,
We are facing an issue with Aggregated life cycle planning with Phase In/Out in Demand Planning. The scenario goes like this.
Let there be 3 CVCs
Product Location sold_to shipto
P1 L1 SOLD1 SHIP1
P2 L1 SOLD1 SHIP1
P1 L1 SOLD2 SHIP2
Basis settings are maintained as Product, Location, Sold_to
Like Profile is maintained in such a way that sales History of P1 should be used forcasting for P2.
Assignment is made at a combination of P1 L1 SOLD1 with Like Profile and the phase In Profile attached starting after 2 months and continuing for another 2 months.
Assignment for Phase Out is made as P2 L1 SOLD1 with NO like profile and Phase out starting after 2 months and continuing for another 2 months.
Apart from this we have enabled Aggregated Life cycle planning in the Basis setting and Master Forecast Profile.
We are forecasting with Selection which includes Products(P1 & P2), Location(L1 & L2), Sold_to(*).
The problem is that Phase In and Out are not considered at this level and we can see the forecast even outside the Phase In/Out horizon. The same works fine if we use 'SOLD1' in place of '*' in sold_to.
Are there any settings that we are missing.
Regards,
Manjit
Hi Manjit,
When you give a ""* anywhere then the search in SAP becomes Generic and it will look for all possible values.Hence if you arte giving ""* system is also looking for other Sold to Values to which this PhaseIn/out profile is not attached. There may be same combination of Product/Location with a different Sold to.
Hence you are seeing the forecast even outside the Phase In/Out horizon.
Hence always as a Best practice in SAP ristrict your search by giving as much Values in the fields as possible. This also reduces the load on the system.
Thanks,
Harsh

Hi Harsh,
Thanks for your reply. I tried executing the forecast using a "*" or with a list of Sold_To. System behavior is the same. As
i mentioned in my earlier message, i can make it work at the same level at which Forecast Profile is defined. But it is not working at an Aggregated level.

Manjit
