MDM 5.5 publisher

Hi,

When i open the publisher icon / Indexer its asking for a windows server name. What is this server i need to give is it the MDM server name?

Hi Suresh,

You have to enter the MDM server name.

If you are unable to access the publisher/Indexer , check your Layout server state, if not running then

(Windows->Run->Services.msc->MDM Layout Server 5.5-> start) Start the Layout server and try again.

Hi Suresh,

In order to work with MDM Publisher, you need to install the Layout server - a separate installable available in the MDM Package. Once you install layout server, it is required to start its service from Control Pannel -> Services -> MDM Layout Server. Now, when you open MDM Publisher, it automatically take the local layout server installed.

Note: Layout Server should be of same version with that of MDM Server.
