product and swc to select in SLD

In the first visit to a freshly ready PI server...

When i want to create my first Scenario.. I go to SLD to create SWCV...

what is the prod i should be selecting?..the vendor etc?..

the scenario is file to proxy...

YOu can create your own Product and assign it to your SWCV:

SAP BASIS component is already ther in the import list by default is it?...

this vendor name etc...could it be ne thing.?

Yes, vendor name could be anything. Usually in format CompanyName.com.

SAP BASIS not necessarily be used in the default list. You can create your own Product and SWC and use it further.

Hi ravindra,

yes, Some software components are pre-delivered.

The vendor in general will be the name of your company's URL...(IN theory it is any free text)

The BASIS swc will not be there in the list?...how can we import it to IR?

for all the collect pattern and all other SAP shipped conetnt in the swcv BASIS

Hi Ravindra

If you want to import any Component like in your case basis

• Go to -> SLD -> click on Software Components

• Select your Software Component

• Click on Dependencies

• then click on Define Prerequisite Software Component Versions

• Now select which Software Component You want to install in your Software Component.
