File to Mail Scenario : sending mail to gmail account

Hi ,

I am trying a File to Mail Scenario , and want send a mail to my gmail account from XI.

On receiver communcation channel URL i have give as smtp://smtp.gmail.com/209.85.199.111/465

checked on Configure authentication mode check box and entered my gmail account user id and password but i am not receiving any mail to my gmail account..

is the URL i have specified correct or i need to use some thing different..

Hi!

Maybe a proxy between your PI and the internet blocks the message (due to security reasons this would be a normal case). Ask your network guys for details.

File --->Gmail.......there is a way mentioned in this thread:

The way suggested in the above thread is that in the url section of your receiver CC give the SMTP URL of your company...... and in the To field of your receiver Mail structure give your Gmail email id...

Hi Umar,

Please check with your basis if your XI system's SCOT settings are made to enable it to send emails to external domains.

Also check the RWB message monitoring or Component Monitoring / Adapter ENgine / Communication Channel Monitor to see the exact error log.
