hi
Where can I find the how many digits can be assigned to a cost center. I mean maximum leght in digit. Where can I check the configuration.
thanks,
It is 10 digits. You can look in table CSKS to see the dictionary definitions as well as the table contents of your master data.
pls assign points if helpful as a way to say thanks.
Ferry is absolutely correct. I must have been answering at the same time as Ferry so sorry for the duplicate.

Hi Ravana,
The maximum lenght for cost center is 10 digit character.
You can chcek table <b>CSKS</b> - Cost Center Master Data via t/code SE11 and click on data element KOSTL.
or you can go to cost center configuration via t/code <b>KS01</b>.
Hope this will help.

By looking at KS13 - Cost Centers: Master Data Report or in table CSKS you can see what your company has set up for master data. You then know the logic behind the set up. There is no configuration setting to define anything different than 10 digits. Your company can use more or less of the fields when defining master data. The key is to be consistent in your set up.
