Hi,

In addition to what Virender has mentioned.

SRM 7.0 has the new technology called Procurement for Public sector (PPS) SRM 7.0 with PPS implementation

This is a new feature which is there from SRM 7.0 only . In this Bidding Scenaio is there with all the Features like

Tender Fees payment ,EMD fees payment . If your client is using Bidding Scenario this version is good.

Many public sector will be using this scenario (Tendering Process)

EP is mandatory for SRM 7.0 . End users will be accessed through EP only.

Hi Donald,

SRM 7.0 SP01 supports integration with SAP NetWeaver Identity Management like the following:

Replicate employees from HR system to SRM system

Replicate employees form HR system to IdM

Provision users for employees form IdM to SRM -> manual assignment for users and employees is required.

However, by using the POWL query "Unassigned User Accounts" this is very simply as there is an action which allows to assign the user based on the personnel number. So it's only one click

Automatic support is planned for SRM 7.0 Enhancement Package 1.

Best regards,

Marco

Hi Marco,

Thanks to respond my question about "SAP NetWeaver Identity Management". I had consulted with our basis team that they will not use Identity Management at the moment. In this case, if we upgrade from SRM4 to SRM7.0 and keep on using ALE idoc to replicate ERP empolyee to SRM, can we DO NOT use Identity Management? Thanks.

Donald

Hello,

Upgrade information:

https://websmp206.sap-ag.de/upgrade-srm

Useful information :

http://service.sap.com/srm

Complete list of BADIs can be found in migration document.

Some of the obsolete BADI:

BBP_CUF_BADI_2

BBP_CTR_MASS_BADI

BBP_UI_CONTROL_BADI

New BADI:

Define Agents /SAPSRM/BD_WF_RESP_RESOLVER

SRM Workflow: Dynamic Process Level Configuration /SAPSRM/BD_WF_PROCESS

ES for SOA Mapping /SAPSRM/ES_SOA_MAPPING

BBP_CUF_BADI_2 is replaced by SRM extension fields and extension tables framework plus metadata framework.

New features: Blog:

Hi,

Refer to the Release notes of SAP SRM 7.0

The major changes in SRM7.0 are the following scenarios:

1. Procurement of External Services with hierarchies

2. Workflow

3. Use of EP mandatory

4. Web Dynpro

5. Centeral Contract Management

Maximum benefits of SRM can be achieved through its integration with ECC 6.0 Enhancement pack 4.

Hi Virender,

Sorry to cut in. May I ask couple of questions:

Refer to "Use of EP mandatory", may I know is service bbpstart (sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpstar) still available in SRM7 for logon by input userID and password?

On the other hand, refer to page 10 of SRM 7.0 Release Note.pdf, can we do not use SAP NetWeaver Identity Management?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Donald
