Hi
1. Initialize init<dbsid>.dba & init<dbsid>.sap
2. Set the Environment variables at OS
3. Make sure your backup software(HP Storage, Legato, etc) is running fine to write to tapes.
4. Logon to the OS as SIDadm & start brtools through cmd or from run DIR.

Hi Again,
Thanks for that Information, I got that same menu... but my question is
we have PI Server DEV/QAS/PRD and IP-PRD server has already setup for BRTOOLS and saved oracle files in local HDD...
When I login SAP and Tr: DB12 it does shows all backup has been sucessfully done... and I can check logs... anyway!!!
Now I am trying to same setup in PI-DEV server, what is the first step I have to follow: Do I have to login SAP login first and apply some Transaction code ? or goto dos prompt and follow the menu... pretty confousing....
Please if some one has step by step configuration to new setup for BRTOOLS setup...
If i get Screenshot that would be winderful
Thanks in Advanced...
