Hello All,
I'm trying to configure IDM7.1
I'm using NWJava 7.0.
I'm trying to create a Data source in the visual administrator.
After providing the Name,Driver Name,JDBC Version,Driver Class,Database URL and additional information and when I press Save, I'm getting the error "Data Source 'IDM_DataSource' can't be created"
Could anyone suggest what could be the reason?
Thanks and Regards,
Pradeep
Hello,
I just recall that I had similar issues when installing the UI components. The reason for me was that I had issues when creating the database driver in the visual administrator; I just missed to read some lines in the installation documentation. These lines were the following:
Note:
On the server, verify that the file exists in the location
\usr\sap\<System ID>\<INSTANCE_NAME>\j2ee\cluster\server0\bin\ext\<name of the driver>
(e.g. C:\usr\sap\F21\JC30\j2ee\cluster\server0\bin\ext\SQL2005). Sometimes an empty file is
created. If this is the case, copy the file manually into the location then restart the server.
I exactly had the issue described there, the file has been missing and I had to copy it manually. Afterwards everything worked fine.
Maybe this helps, good luck.
