Upgrade our server RAM but not show in sap system (ST06)

Dear All,

I have configure the transported down and getting an error

Dear all,

We are using Ecc5 and windows 2003 SP1 64 bit.We are going to upgrade our server RAM at present we have 8 gb and adding 8 gb mre ,total 16 Gb RAM.

After Ram is added in the server at os level it is showing .

*what changes I have to do that it will show in sap system (ST06) bze it is not showing there *

And PHYS_MEMSIZE 4908 set do i have to change this ..?

Dear All,

Now RAM is showing in the St06 but getting error in in HpEventLog: Windows: Predictive Failure in Memory (25B4H) event log .Please find the details

We are using ecc5 on win 2003.

There seems to be a problem with your RAM module. I suggest you to contact hardware vendor to correct the problem.

Hi Kumarmoh,

Just stop your SAPOSCOL and restart the same, after getting restarted check and revert.

Before going to restart just check whethre at os level it is showing correct or not?

Hi,

There is no place in SAP where you need to add the RAM manually to show in ST06.

It will refelect as soon as RAM is upgraded.

Can you cross check the SAPOSCOLL program, whether it is running and shared memory is available.

Try to clear the shared memory of the saposcoll and check.

use saposcoll -d command to go to dialoge mode of saposcoll and clear the shared memory.

Regarding the phy_mem parameter which need to be set in case of windows env, as it is checked in case of Windows env.

The parameter PHY_MEM is nothing to do with the SAPOSCOLL.

Hi,

Thanks for suggestion that mean once RAM is add in the server it will show in ST06 also But in my server it has not shown

but at OS level it is showing 16 Gb but in sap System old value 8 gb only.

and SAPOSCOLL is running and i have restared the server after adding the RAM

Please suggest how to solve this problem.
