Hi

I am Angeline, I want to know please how to create UME roles in PI 7.1 server, I already Added SAP_SLD_ADMIN and SAP_J2EE_ADMIN but i need to add UME Roles too...

When I read SAP potals, I got this

"The roles are propagated to user groups of the User Management Engine (UME), which are then assigned to security roles for Java applications by using the SAP NetWeaver Administrator (Operations Management ® User and Access Management ® Identity Management). "

Please help me step by step

Thanks in Advanced

Angeline

Thanks for reply...

AS I am Using NW 7.1 and I got PDF file, thats shows goto VA, but in 7.1 change the name VA to NW-admin... anyway!

I login http://servername:50000/useradmin

It does shows my user there, but data source column shows: only ABAP not JAVA...

How may I get Java there too, even when I click on Assigned Roles, how may I create the Group for UME

basically I would like to go SLD configruration... when I try to login

http://server:port/sld

I am gettin that error: with Administrator is gradout even I try to login with J2EE_ADMIN as well

You do not have permission to view the System Landscape Directory. Minimum required: UME role with permission com.sap.lcr.LcrUser and J2EE role LcrUser. See the SLD Post-Installation Guide for details

Please help me...

Hi,

for SLD administration you should have SLD specific roles. Have you checked the pdf which i given above in which there are steps for this...

Thanks

Hi ,

You should use the user SLDDSUSER to configure the SLD. Else you can assign the UME actions LCR* to any of your role and then assign to the j2ee_admin user.

Ther user SLDDSUSER has the default installation master password if yo have not changed it.

Hi,

I hope you know there is an option called Identity management in NWA. Navigate to it, then select the role and create a new role say xyz enter the role name and the description, there is a tab called "Assigned UME action " just select Lcr* and do a search in this tab you wil get a lot of Lcr* ume actions then select all and assign it to the role, now navigate to the tab "assigned users"

Search for the J2EE_ADMIN user and assign it. Save the role. You should now be able to access the sld and edit it.

Hi,

In the second screen shot which you have attached, In search criteria select Roles then you will find the option create role.

There on you can proceed as mentioned in the above post.

Hi,

Logon to http://fqdn:5xx00/useradmin navigate to role: then select UME roles then do a search,

this how you get the ume roles, then you can create the role. You need to ume actions to this roles.

eg: LcrreadIncr like wise you can to assign the actions to the role.
