Securing the access from an intermediary proxy to the SAP EP

Hi,

I use the SAP EP (J2EE Engine 6.40 PatchLevel 100627.313

Portal 6.0.15.0.0) and I would like to set up an intermediary

proxy in front of the SAP EP (that should do the authentication).

The authenticated user is propageted by means of a header variable

to the SAP EP.

I set this up and it works well.

Now I would like to secure the access from the proxy server to the

SAP EP. For this purpose I set up ssl (which also works).

Next step should be to restrict the SSL port of the SAP EP to be

accessible with the certificate of

the trusted intermediary proxy only. So only the intermediary

proxy should be allowed to access the SAP EP. This should be done

by means of mutual certificate authentication.

How can this be configured?

Hi Expert,

I am facing the same situation as the original poster and I have already checked the SAP Help documentation. But the example shown there with the Web Dispatcher does not apply to our case as we will use a Web Proxy.

Does anyone have a link to some helpful resources for this activity?
