Hello!
In classical R/3-Systems you have chosen a RFC-Destination to connect serveral R/3 systems together. What about Netweaver?
I saw there is a Message Server, is that the point where R/3-Systems are connected together concerning netweaver technologie? Or are they even connected together via RFC? Or only Webservices?
How can you create a distributed system with many Web AS-Servers?
With best regards
Björn K.
Hi Björn,
for connection between XI and R/3 system are usually 3 methods used:
ABAP proxy
RFC adapter
IDoc
For all three communcication possibilities you need a destination in SM59.

Udo

Bjorn,
You can connect R/3 system using all the methods mentioned in your message - either RFC, Webservices or proxies can be used depending on what your requirement really is. What method you choose depends on the complexity and individual business requirements
