I went thru the configuration of above t-codes several times but still CANNOT visualize their
relations.
Could anybody the help? Thanks!
Hi Linda,
I hope you already know thru documentation the use of OAC0 (to create content repository), OAC2 (to assign document class to document type) and OAC3 (to link content rep, document type along with the link table) and you need to go in sequence OAC0, OAC2 and then OAC3.
Now to explain the relationship, lets go in reverse. In OAC3, we link the document type to content repository and assign a link table to tell SAP which content repository should be used for which document type and where the links between SAP and the archived document to be stored. So the content repository and document types should exist in the first place;
- so we use OAC0 to create a content repository with proper document area, storage type etc
- and we use OAC2 to tell SAP which document class the document type belongs to
Hope this clarifies.
Thanks,
Naveen

OAD5 is the transaction that brings it all together. Oac0, oac2, and Oac3 don't mean much without that.

Oac2. and Oa3 have nothing to do with knowledge management. Oac2 and oac3 are ArchiveLink configuration transactions. ArchveLink is used to store scanned documents like invoices against transactions in SAP. It can also be used for things like linking documents to HR where no link to SAP DMS exists.
