Hi,
We are not maintaining Profit center in material master, we are maintain g it in sales order at item level.
there is no option to enter profit center at header level.
how to get that?
regards,
Akshay
Adding To Mr Lakshmi's Point,
You can substitute profit center in sales order based on some substitution rule whcih you can maintain at the following path.
T-code is 0KEM.
SPRO-Controlling-Profit Center Accounting-Assignments of Account Assignment Objects to Profit Centers-Sales Orders-Sales Order Substitutions
Thanks,

Hi Akshay,
Its Quite simple after going to 0KEM ( Zero KEM) you have to click on substitution button , then Click on rule, Give the name of the rule and on the left side click on rule definition now there are table fields, rules and exits. if you will explore more you will get how to create. Take the help of FI guy for this.
Thanks,
Raja

I have a feeling that you have not understood the basic concept of how Profit Center flows in a sale order. It will always be at item level and cannot be at header level.
For information, System will consider Profit Center at the time of PGI, based on the following priority
1st priority to material master
2nd priority to sale order
3rd priority to cost center
4th priority to controlling area
thanks
