Hi All ,
I have the following business requirement. We're implementing SAP MDM 7.1 for a client. MDM is used to consolidate data from around 6 systems. Matching strategies are used to identify matches and the relevant records are merged. However, when data is syndicated back to the source systems, there is a requirement that some of the source system do not want the merged records back. That is, they only want harmonized data from MDM, excluding records which were created as a result of merge operations. Is this possible within standard MDM functionality? If yes, how? And if not, what kind of customization might be required?
Thanks
Lavanya
Hi Lavanya
1 possible workaround can be:
to differentiate between merged record and any other normal record introduce 1 more field in data model for say " record Origin". for each merged record you can maintain a flag or value. After merging records in data manager ask the user to fill this field.
During syndication in the map put a filter for this field to exclude all such merged records.
best regards
Ravi
