Material type for Project related

Hi ,

When creteing the material master we have which take "Material Type" if it related to project , i am perticular about construction and instaltion related business topic . Normally we take Raw material , semi finished material and finished material in case of manufactureing industry , in construction in

Hi,

It only matters with the settings what you make in the material master.

Probably you can choose Raw material type, the material which is directly going to consume, semi finish where you you need process the material etc.

There material type as such related to Project.

In projects also maximum Raw material is used. Usage of semifinished and finished material is minimum.

i am particular about construction and instaltion related business topic .

In construction industry raw material type is used.

Ex:

Cement, bricks etc...

Cement and bricks is a finished product for production industry, but this as RAW material for construction industry.

Hi,

In case if your construction company is purchasing material which they are going to use further for there construction work, then you can use raw material as material type for those materials. If there is any deliverable material out of your construction project, then against that material, you can use finished good or semi finished goods as the material type as per your company's norms.
