Is WM Picking is a substitute to SD Picking?

Hello,

Picking is a part of outbound process & it depends how is your business process.As mentioned if your storage location is WM managed & you are creating delivery from this storage location then picking is happening through TO.

If you do not have WM in place then you are doing picking through generation of picking list by configuring output for the delivery & taking printout of the same.

So answer to your question is that it is not substitute & it is as per the requirement of the process.

picking is related to delivery.The picking has to be done from a particular plant + s loc combination. if this combination of plant+S.Loc is assigned as WM managed then the picking has to be done through WM and TR/TO process. Else, WM will not come into picture.
