Download Stack from SAP Marketplace to my ECC 6.0 (abap+java)

Hi gurus

I have a doubt about the process of support package (stack) download. I don´t want downloading from maintenance optimizer, I´m doing this process directly from Sap Marketplace, in first step (1 of 3) I have to select the target stack (which is the stack level that I intend to make an update) and the source target (which is the actually stack level of my system)... Ok I choose them with no problem, the situation and my doubt is below that where I have a check list of "Usage Selection" (image). How can I know which one I must choose for my system... I don´t understand what is that, for instance "Strategic Enterprise Mgmt" ; E-"Recruting" or "EP Core"!!!... etc...

So how can I know which of these components I need to check to downloading for my system, how can I know that?

Help me please!

Best regards,

Hi,

In order to know which usage types are insatlled on your system. Then use below url to check that:

http://<hostname>:5<instance number>00/utl/UsageTypesInfo

By this you will know which usage types are installed on your system From there you can select usage while downloading support pack.

Hope it helps

Thanks

Hi Sunny

Thank you for answer my question... but I have some doubts, I don´t understand where that says which usage types I have to choose in that list Usage Selection when we´re in step 1 of download stack (image in first post of this thread).

The result of your URL suggestion is this:

http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/7624/image1nze.jpg

So tell me where in that screen are the information which corresponds / match with that list of Usage Selection in download window?...

Hi,

Now if you will see the output of that url.it means that while downloading SP Stack you have to select As Java and As ABAP usage type...

Thanks

Hi Sunny,

Yes ok, I understand that but... I think I didn´t explain what I want to learn/know or you didn´t understant what I want...

At download windows you see this list:

ERP Central Component (ECC)

XI Content

Strategic Enterprise Mgmt

Self Services

Supplier Relationship Mgmt

Extended E-Commerce Components

Financial Supply Chain Mgmt

cProject Suite

E-Recruiting

Learning Solution

Process Integration (XI)

Workforce Mgmt Core

Business Intelligence

Portal Content

Enterprise Portal

Easy Document Management

EP Core

Mobile Infrastructure

How can I know which of these types I must have choose for my system...? The output of that url doesn´t inform me which of these type I have in my system, it only inform me the master components or in other words which stacks I have in my system (ABAP and JAVA stack´s)!!!

Best regards,

Hi,

I think if I understood right then these are solutions not usage type. Also, it is available in Solman not on service market place. On service market place only usage types are there if you are trying to download SP Stack.

Which solution you will select from solman it totally depends upon what you have installed earlier. Check in System --> Status.

On based of that check which componnent is coming under which solution. Eg. IS_OIL comes under OIL and FI-CAX comes under Financial Supply Chain Management.

Hope it helps

Thanks

Joao,

because you struggle so hard to find the right components I strongly recommend you to use the MOPZ and eliminate any potential pitfalls that you seem to run into. MOPZ configuration will not take you more than a few hours or minutes.

Sunny...

Sorry about my stupid insistence, I already realize what´s my confusion... You was right

This URL:

http://<hostname>:5<instance number>00/utl/UsageTypesInfo

Is the solution for my question!! I didn´t understand that because I believed that my system had more itens (on that list) installed... OK forget it, never mind...

I realize that when I entry in other costumer with BI system and then the result of that is this: (with other usage types)

By the way I´ll give you 10 points for this! This url is GOLD
