Dear all,
When we send across a external requirement to SRM, then during the creation of shopping cart, it tries to determine a unique source of supply. It searches for available contracts , interlinkages and vendor lists.
My question is what is meaning of interlinakge? This has the details of Vendor + Product + Price.
Is this same as Purchasing Info record?
How is an interlinkage created in SRM?
Please provide links or clarification on significance of interlinakge.
Useful note for reference is 521458.
Many thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Srivatsa
Hello,
An interlinkage is a relationship in SAP SRM between a vendor and a product used to specify a price.
Transaction to maintain interlinkage COMMPR01.
COMMPR01:
Conditions can be maintained manually, they can be uploaded via the product workbench, or
uploaded from a back end.
All conditions in the product workbench are net prices.
If there is a price for the material only. It can be used as valuation price for the workflow, for
example, but not for purchasing.
If there are price and vendor data, the prices are vendor-specific and can be used as a source of
supply. To enable these vendor conditions, it is necessary to maintain a vendor relationship for this
product, the so-called interlinkage. Otherwise, the system cannot find the condition.
If the source of supply is unique, it can be determined by the system. If the price is not unique, the
employee or purchaser can select the price manual. Within the system, contracts have a higher
priority than an interlinkage.
Interlinkages are preferred in Standalone scenario & extended classic scenario.
Hope this helps.
Thanks
Ashutosh

Dear Muthu,
Many thanks for your inputs.
What is then the difference between Purchase Info record and interlinakge ? Is it just that what purchase Info record is for backend, interlinkage is for SRM ?
Please clarify since it shall help in understanding the concept better.
Many thanks.
