Printer Settings Problem on Linux

Hi gurus,

Have a nice day, would you please suggest me about printer settings in linux,

i want to take the print directly from SAP on linux platform.

but i don't know the printer settings ,

I am trying with LPD/LPR host to printer but it shows an error "host to printer may not be connected"

can you please give me step by step procedure,

because i am new to linux,

Dear all

I've installed SAPGui-java for linux.

i'm able to print a test page and other documents from office.org. The problem is that I can't print SAP documents if i'm using my SAPgui.please provide printer configuration for Linux Pc's.
