set explicitly error code/category/area/id while raising exceptions in PI

Hi Techies,

I am wondering is there is any way to raise an exception by filling error code(error ID),error category/error area programatically.

If we look at the table SXMSSYERR, there are many error codes/error IDs mentioned. I want to use one specific pair from the list. Can I do that?

I am also wondering about the significance of error code '888' put in the ABAP class. Do we have other codes as well? where can I find the information about them?
