Import of Dev configuration objects into QA is failing

Hi,

I am trying to import the configuration objects of the PI interface from DEV into QA in 7.1.

The enterprise service repository objects has been successfully imported but in the case of ID when we do it, we are getting the following error.

Import failed because of business system transfer of object Receiver Agreement | BS_WO_TO_Avantis_IDOC_Sender | | BS_WO_TO_AV_JDBC_Receiver | si_wo_to_avantis_close: Obligatory transport target for business system BS_WO_TO_Avantis_IDOC_Sender not found in System Landscape Directory.

PLease check and assist ASAP.

Problem resolvd as we had to create a Business Service rather than a Business System

You suggested to do:

Should this be done in QA or in DEV.

Also the transport group, is this same in DEV and QA or this is different. Please help.

Kishore,

It all depends on your SLD. If you are having DEV and QA on one SLD then you have to do in this SLD. Else do in the QA SLD. Check with your basis person sometimes you might not have access to them.

Its in a different sld, actually when we try to assign target group for Business System the target is not showing up in the drop down list. The group we created is there and we are unable to assign target for the business system.

Also one more clarification, is this handled generally PI developers or is it done by PI basis resources.

If it is a differnt sld then you need to export and import.

It is basis guys job to maintain the SLD because it is part of transportation process.

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to create a Business System Target in PI7.1.

Currently when we try to add/change target, the business system group shows up.

But in target, the drop down list is empty. please check and let me know if this target system name comes by default or it has to be created. Please assist.

But did you sync all your SLD or not?

If not,please do that.

Lets say you have one SLD for Dev which has 15 business systems,then you need to export all these business systems and import them in SLD of QA.Create groups and transport in Dev before the export/import.

It seems you have a business system BS_WO_TO_Avantis_IDOC_Sender in DEV. For this business system it might not have the corresponding business system in QA. So please create it in the SLD and assign this in transport target. So once when you do this then BS_WO_TO_Avantis_IDOC_Sender business system objects will transport to the new QA business system.
