Hi,
We have ECC 6.0 installed.
We are doing a Client Export Import for some testing purposes.
We have exported the Client successfully with Copy Profile SAP_EXPA (SAP_ALL + Cross Client customizing)
Now when we are importing the client through SCC7 we get the error for the Cross CLient Transport Request as below

Ended with return code: ===> 8 <===
The SP Level details of the source & target systems are as below:-
Source System ( OS:- RHEL5, DB:- Oracle 10g)
===========
SP Stack 14 (SAP_ABA -14 ; SAP_BASIS -14)
EA-HR 602 (EHP2 implemented for HCM component) Level 13
SAP-HR 34
Target System (OS :- Windows 2003 , DB :Oracle 10g) (IDES System)
============
SP Stack 14 (SAP_ABA -14 ; SAP_BASIS -14)
EA-HR 602 (EHP2 implemented for HCM component) Level 21
SAP-HR 42
The difference in the HR Components i bcoz we implemented a SAP Note for some Workflow related issue for which we had to update the patch level of EA-hr 602 to 21 & SAP-HR to 42.
Rest all componenets are on same levels as the source system.
Please suggest why the error with the import of the Tables and how do we resolve it.
We need to do a Client Copy to copy Everything from the source system. (System copy was not preferred bcoz of tight deadlines and different OS)
Regards,
AK
Hi,
Patch level should be same for Client Copy.
But one temporary solution You can copy mismatch objects/tables/domain whatever ..
then it will definitely work becuase same exercise done by me. (My profile was SAP_ALL)

I may have worked for you - yes, I don't doubt that.
A client copy is more than just copying of tables. After the copy process there are post processing programs running that clean up and make sure the import is consistent (basically what's done in SCC7). If those programs are not running you may see strange behaviours in applications because necessary changes are not done. This is especially true for FI and HR and also for CO related stuff and hierachies (table AGR_HIER). If you don't use that you may not see any malfunction of course but you can never be sure, that the application behaves correctly if the copy was not running through.
What I want to say is just to be careful if you do non-standard copies to avoid problems in the future.

This is not possible.
Client copies must be executed on the same patchlevel of source and target.

Hi,
Thanx Markus.
So we need to have the patch levels same of both systems.
We did have this doubt before we started the import but went through with it thnking it might jst go through since the Pack levels of all components except SAP-HR & EA_HR were same as source system.
@ Majamil
Thanx for the response.
I have already copied Cofile n Data file and started the iport through SCC7
Got the error while importing.Import wont have started if CoFiles n Datafiles were not present.

yes.

As you can see the structure is different, the table content is different. You may get it technically working but the postprocessing of the tables will fail neverless.

Dear,
you have to import this exported file before SCC7.
if you performing on same server then run following import procedure.
STMS --> F5 --> select require SID --> Extra --> other Request --> Add (you will select the exported file with F4)
and ok then you will import it with CTrl+F11 and it will take some time and change it from Red
to Green.
If you are performing on Different Server then you have to copy CO and Data file from Source system to Destination system.
then you will perform SCC7.
